Jesús Giráldez Rivero is a Doctor in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1994), with the thesis: Growth and transformation of the Galician fishing sector (1880-1936), directed by Professor Xan Carmona Badía. He teaches in the Department of Economic History as a University School Professor between 1991 and 1998 and since then as a University Professor.

His research lines are focused on the Fishing Sector, Business History, and the Metal Graphic Industry.
